She hails from the very famous Lalgudi family. She is the daughter and disciple of Lalgudi Brahmanandam and niece of Lalgudi Shri. G. Jayaraman. She began her training at age five and had her maiden performance at the age of ten. She gave her first duet performance with her mother soon after and since then, has traveled with her mother within and outside of India for joint performances. The Srimathi-Anuradha duet recitals have been acclaimed for their classical excellence, perfect in rhythm and melody. Before she came to the United States to pursue her Masters in Business Administration in 1987, she managed a CPA degree, never giving up music at anytime. She has lived in the United States ever since and runs the Trinity Center for Music in Saratoga, CA. She and her brother Sriram Brahmanandam are the founding members of Solfa Creations, an agency that has created informational and interactive multimedia software for awareness of Carnatic music.
