Jayanth is one of the most promising Flutists in Carnatic music. He started performing at a tender age of 7. He is the grandson and disciple of Flute Maestro Late Sri T. S. Sankaran a primary disciple of Flute Mali. He has a refined fingering and blowing technique that enables him to switch over to the bass flutes with ease. His playing demonstrates depth and produces the lyrical content of the composition with warm tonal quality. Jayanth has been accompanied by stalwarts like Sri Umayalpuram K.Sivaraman, Sri T.V.Gopalakrishnan and many others. He is currently under the tutelage of Senior vocalist Sri Sanjay Subramanyan.
