SIMA 40 - Youth Group Performance

Youth Group Performance details & criteria

  • Must be a current 2024 SIMA member

  • Age: 12 to 16 years old

  • Date and Time: Sunday, Sep 22, 2024, between 1:30 and 3:30 pm (exact time TBD)

  • Performance will consist of 2 songs, without manodharma (selected songs TBD once the group is formed) 

  • Performance duration: 12 to 15 minutes

  • Sign-up is required for vocal and instrumental

  • Those who are performing with another group during the festival (i.e. part of your teacher's school performance) will not be eligible to also perform in this group

  • Senior musicians in the community will provide guidance/teaching as needed to ensure coordination among the youth performers

  • Performers must be of an intermediate/advanced level, and able to learn 2 songs from a recording, if necessary
