Music students, come join this awesome team. Make new friends, connect with other talented kids in the SIMA community, learn new things about Carnatic music, and participate in all of the NEW FUN ACTIVITIES planned for this year!

Why join the 2025 Youth Committee?

• Get volunteer hours for high school credit

• Become eligible for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award (great for college resumés)

• Performance and demonstration opportunities exclusively for Youth Committee members based on learnings from workshops (NEW!)

• Discount registration fees for workshops by professional touring musicians

• Recurring meet-ups and musical jam sessions (NEW!)

• Join one of the 4 sub-committees to further learn and hone your skills: PUBLICITY, DESIGN, SALES, OPERATIONS (NEW!)

• Make new friends and have fun at SIMA events all year long :)

What are the requirements to be on the 2025 Youth Committee?

• Must be a 2025 SIMA member

• Open to students between 7th and 12th grade

• Attend and volunteer in at least 5 events in the spring and 5 events in the Fall

• Attend quarterly meetings and meet-ups with Youth Committee members

• Must know how to HAVE FUN! :)
